Making your website is like buying you a dress. Would you buy a dress for yourself that someone else picked for you. I think, not.
Your website is a reflection of you and your business and it should reflect that vision exactly. So the best way to build a website is to build it yourself.
But I have some friends who have a phobia for building software solutions. For them, I suggest you find a person who is not only skilled but who can follow your vision and transform your thoughts into reality. Trust me these people exist.
A few months ago, we built the most beautiful website for a hospital. It is not only high end but it also displays most of the hospital information on the home page. The owner of the hospital had a very clear vision for how his website ought to be. He never compromised for even one color. The first prototypes that we chose for him, he just trashed them and asked us to start over. Slowly and steadily, because we surrendered to his vision of his business, we built a site that he absolutely adores. And why shouldn’t he? He is the one who is supposed to live with that site for a long time to come.
